Hydraulics: Harnessing Hydraulic Power is part one of the Hydraulics seven-part training series.

A knowledge of fluid characteristics will help students appreciate the power of fluid and understand how fluids both exert pressure to support loads and flow to move loads.

Course objectives include:

• Identify the conditions that cause fluids to flow and exert pressure
• Explain Pascal's law
• Describe the relationship between fluid pressure and fluid flow
• Identify factors that affect pressure level, flow rate, and fluid velocity in a hydraulic circuit.
