Maintenance Troubleshooting: Hydraulic Circuits & HVAC is part five of the Maintenance Troubleshooting five-part training series.
The course describes hydraulic circuits and components that are used to provide hydraulic energy to linear and rotary hydraulically-operated actuators. The course is designed to teach students how to identify problematic symptoms demonstrated in these hydraulic circuits and possible causes for the symptoms. The second half of the course addresses HVAC equipment, particularly cooling equipment utilizing the refrigeration cycle, and maintenance and troubleshooting procedures that may be applied in maintaining this equipment.
Course objectives include:
- Identify the primary components in a hydraulic circuit
- Recognize problems with these components
- Identify the primary components in a refrigeration cycle
- Locate problems by applying systematic troubleshooting techniques to distinguish between a component problem and a refrigerant problem
