Spill Prevention & Control: Insuring A Safer World (Handbook)
EPA008-HBK-ENGSpill prevention control and countermeasures, or SPCC, was enacted by the EPA to protect our waterways and shorelines from oil spills. The rule considers many substances other than petroleum to be "oil". For instance, animal-based oil, vegetable oil and biofuel are covered by the rule. Make sure your employees are familiar with the prevention and control measures they must take in the event of a spill at your facility.
